The common phrase "judging a book by its cover" underlies the concepts of evaluating something superficially and making decisions regardless of its content. Tough, one cover is unpretentious
replacement of its content. Rather, it functions as a reflection of the content. Therefore, ideally establishing a strong link between content and cover is a designer's desire to reach out. Obviously, for a designer this is content and genre; and hence a sophisticated graphic composition. We were expected to design a book on this project.
It was intended that we select one of the short stories of the weird writer Etgar Keret and design for it. The well-known Israeli writer Etgar Keret is regarded as the "author of absurd, sad, funny and very short stories". He sees writing 1 story from his point of view as an uncontrollable reflex that he can deal with reality. Swapping between ordinary life and imagination produces fascinating, vivid and vivid stories that readers can easily grasp. From this point on, it was decided that the challenge of transforming an Etgar Keret story into a visual composition would open up new horizons for the designer to benefit from. Since the cover of the book is the first face the viewer encounters with the book, it is a form of expression that arouses the audience's curiosity and gives clues not only about the content of the book, but also about its message and genre. A book cover is more than its front.
